Cornish craftsmen have created some of the most beautiful structures in the country and, though we may be biased, we think our new wedding arbour is nothing short of magnificent.
Owner Ken Evans is a skilled carpenter – he renovated all the barn buildings himself – and most recently he has turned his hand to crafting a large wedding arbour at the lakeside.
After 4 weeks in the workshop templating and cutting the seven tonnes of oak, Ken and Nick have erected the hefty structure into position.
Next it will be sandblasted and the 5500 slate tiles pinned on, plus slate slabs laid to the floor.
Here are some photos from the arbour progress this Easter week.
